Employment Support Specialist for People w/ Disabilities
Northwest Center is looking for an Employment Support Specialist to join our specialized Follow Along Career Coach team in Omak.. The need for Career Coaches is huge. The unemployment rate for people with disabilities is 80% nationwide. With on-the-job support, our clients are positioned to avoid becoming another statistic. As a Follow Along Support Specialist, you can make a difference in someone’s life. Your on-the-job support empowers people with disabilities to participate in the world of work, allowing them the opportunity to grow and contribute professionally and lead a fulfilling life.
WHEN WILL I BE WORKING?
This position does need flexibility with work on weekdays and weekends.
The schedule does flex dependent on need.
HOW WILL I BE COMPENSATED?
Starting at $15.50 per hour but can be higher depending on experience, relevant education/skills + Mileage Reimbursement for miles driven for work.

Our clients work in all kinds of businesses. Gyms, Retail Stores, Law Offices, and more!
This role serves Omak, Okanogan, and surrounding areas.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
☆Caring personality with patient disposition working with individuals with disabilities
☆Valid Driver's license
☆Proof of auto insurance
☆Acceptable 5-year driving abstract
☆Experience working in as an individual performer and in a team setting
☆Ability to keep detailed documentation/case notes

WHAT YOUR DAY CAN LOOK LIKE?
This role is wonderful for someone who loves facing different tasks every day. Though the day can look different, the tasks can include:
☆Providing on-the-job support and training for independent adults with disabilities
☆Developing and implementing personal service plans which includes planning appropriate training, supervision, and support services.
Consulting with employers to help them create accommodations and restructure job duties as needed
☆Acting as the point of contact for clients, employers, case managers, and their support.
☆Helping to foster external relationships and create new ones with potential partners for the future
