While no day is the same for an Employment Support Specialist, a typical day might look something like this:

"You report to your job site and wait for your clients to arrive via Access.  As your clients get settled at their work station,  you gather their supplies and provide them with the materials they need to complete their projects for the day.  If your client needs more intensive support, you may need to do some of the job tasks yourself, modeling and instructing how the work should be done.  If your client needs less support, you may only need to provide encouragement and help them to focus and stay on task.  In addition to increasing your clients' job skills, you will help find them employment in the community.  You will be responsible for helping them write resumes, practice interview skills, apply for jobs, and also contact employers on their behalf.”
