Senior Employee Benefits Specialist

We are looking for a Senior Employee Benefits Specialist to join our Human Resources team!  As a Benefits Specialist, you will be responsible for the management and administration of all of Northwest Center’s health and benefit plans, provide leadership on all corporate initiatives related to benefits and wellness programs, and handle all benefit inquiries from employees within Northwest Center.  You will serve as an expert in benefit administration specialty such as COBRA and Life and Disability.  You will also support our Leave Administration by determining eligibility, maintaining leave status, reviewing medical documentation, and keeping the organization up to date with federal and state legislation rules.  If you love providing impeccable customer service and working with external and internal customers, we want to hear from you!

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of Benefits and Leave of Absence experience, including hands-on administration of LOA, benefit plans, retirement plan administration and workers compensation.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, previous experience in benefits administration and CEBS, SPHR, or PHR designation is preferred.
  • Current knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to benefit plans.
  • Demonstrated capability to train, mentor, and develop others
