Location: Spokane & Okanagan areas

Schedule:Full-Time

The Director, Employment Services is an essential position for the Northwest Center Employment Services division.  This is a leadership role with the key responsibility of supporting our Spokane and Omak staff and community services.

  • Fostering and supporting our staff and culture
  • Administering and directing programs, services and operations
  • Budgets/Forecasting & Financial Management
  • Human Resource Liaison with corporate office
  • Contract and Compliance Management

What are we looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation, special education, psychology, social work, or other related field of human services
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience providing direct services to persons with developmental disabilities in a vocational or residential setting, with at least two (2) years of experience and training in behavioral management techniques and program development and one (1) year of experience in human service management.
  • Commitment to Equity and Inclusion
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients, parents, residential and NWC staff, caseworkers, employers and others involved in the transition of DDA, DVR and Community Protection adults for inclusion in the community
  • Demonstrated ability to perform budget operations and monitor complex financial data.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain safety and willingness to participate in crisis debriefing/follow-up services.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and work as a team member
