Northwest Center is looking for a Spheres Ambassador to join our team!  

The Spheres Ambassadors are often the first contact between the community and Amazon.com. Their focus is to provide a one of a kind customer experience through speaking to exhibits, answering public questions, and engaging customers with interactive exhibits. This is the perfect role for a natural story teller who is friendly, outgoing, and is ready to put down roots getting others excited about Horticulture! We are committed to making the Spheres a memorable experience to all users. Hours of operation are 9:30 am to 8:30 pm Monday through Saturday and 10:30 am to 7:30 pm on Sundays. Your schedule may vary, however you will be given two consecutive days off including one weekend day.

Essential Functions:

  • Open and close the Spheres space, providing ownership of the space and ensuring it is clean, organized, and show ready at all times.
  • Greet all visitors in a friendly, warm, professional and courteous manner, you are required to provide a 5-star first impression every time you answer the phone or greet a visitor.
  • Arrive in provided Spheres Ambassador uniform. Launder as necessary to ensure a professional appearance.
  • Work interchangeably between the Spheres and R1 space while actively engaging with the visitors and offering insight into the exhibits and plant life they are seeing.
  • Assist with potential ticketing issues.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge regarding exhibits rove the space, be prepared to offer commentary, speak to and/or offer assistance to visitors.
  • Respond to public inquiries as directed by Amazon’s Public Relations team
  • Communicate any comments to Leadership and actively work with Supervisor to respond to uncommon public inquiries or questions.
  • Attend and actively participate in all NWC, PR, and Horticulturalist scheduled trainings to maintain current information on the exhibits, Amazon and campus history, best customer service practices, and more.
  • Conduct ongoing research to enhance guest experience and be prepared to offer guidance about places to eat and/or other landmarks to visit within the greater Seattle area
  • Assist with special events and projects, as requested.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Some College preferred (but not required).
  • Knowledge on Horticulture preferred (but not required)
  • Minimum 1-year Customer Service, Museum, Amusement Park, or Event staffing or support experience
