Position: Deputy Program Manager (DPM)/Unified Communications Operations Manager (OM)
Contract/Location: Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) – Fort Meade, MD
Clearance: Active SECRET Clearance
Reports to: NMR – UC/VTC PM
Position Summary:
The Deputy Program Manager (DPM)/Operations Manager (OM) is responsible for the substantial breadth of operations performed by the technical support team. Reports directly to the NMR DISA Program Manager (PM) and is a member of the DISA VTC Program Management Office (PMO) team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily interaction with DISA VTC Team to ensure service delivery across the enterprise is consistent
- Attend meetings with the customer and associate contractor for communication, reporting and requirements gathering
- Provide Crew Chief responsibilities and leadership across contracts to include negotiating OLAs with Associate Contractors and maintaining NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreements) for the DISA VTC Team
- Manage teams supporting a variety of technical disciplines across geographically dispersed areas (Systems Development, Business Applications, SharePoint, VTC and Training)
- Implement production, productivity, quality and customer service standards
- Perform Cost Account Manager (CAM) duties and maintain oversight of all related activities
- Resolve issues: technical and personnel
- Implement change within the organization
- Recommend innovations and encourage team participation in research and development of enhancements to current service delivery and capabilities
Qualification, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or related experience required
- Must have extensive experience in a related technical field
- Ten (10) years in a management role with extensive personnel and technical management experience
- Must have experience with the Department of Defense
- Must possess an extremely meticulous and organized working style and have an ability to work as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills experience is important, responsibilities will include extensive team and customer contact
Relevant Certifications:
- ITIL v3, desired
- PMP Certification, desired
ADA Specifications:
- Occasionally lifting of 5-10 lbs
- Regularly required to talk and or hear
- Extended working hours
- Travel is not expected for this position
- Will be required to use the computer screen for extensive periods of time
