Sponsorship Marketing Associate 

New York Public Radio, home to WNYC, WQXR, WNYC Studios, Gothamist and The Greene Space, is seeking a talented, dynamic Marketing Associate to join the team.  The Sponsorship Marketing team brings together the right cross-functional teams and resources to provide the best possible ideas and strategies to our customers. This function will work alongside the Account Executives to assist sales positioning for all platforms at New York Public Radio.

Success within the Sponsorship team requires a passion for media, an editorial mindset, and a high standard for visual presentations, all brought to life through a working understanding of the media and advertising landscape and an ability to translate data and insights into compelling and engaging sponsorship and branded content programs.

New York Public Radio, home to WNYC, WQXR, WNYC Studios, Gothamist and The Greene Space, is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Sponsorship Marketing Associate to join our team. 

This position reports to the SVP, Sponsorship  and will play a key role in supporting a dynamic, high-performing department. 


  • Support the creation of pitch deck proposals in response to priority client RFPs and proactive opportunities. 
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with the sales team and serve as a key point of contact for requests and day-to-day pitch assistance. 
  • Oversee audience and performance data reporting that informs and supports Sponsorship’s business needs. 
  • Participate in brainstorming and implementation of exciting cross-platform content and innovative campaigns. 
  • Partner with internal and external production partners to ensure implementation runs smoothly and that deadlines are met. 
  • Coordinate cross-functional Sponsorship Marketing’s calendars— ensuring information updates, good communication, and adherence to project timetables. 
  • Provide direct partnership and support for proposals, presentations, marketing materials, and research for Account Executive team and collaborate on projects alongside Marketing Strategy under the direction of the SVP of Sponsorship



  • At least 2 years of experience in marketing, account management support, or sales support—ideally within the media industry 
  • Experience creating visually strong pitch decks and other marketing materials using PowerPoint, Keynote, and/or Google Slides 
  • Podcast and audio experience is a plus.
  • Ability to sift through data to create meaningful insights-driven storytelling
  • Comfortable using and learning about Data Analytics Tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Nielsen, Edison) 
  • Experience creating visually strong marketing materials and/or decks (.ppt or Google Slides)
  • Highly organized project management skills 
  • Excellent writing skills 
  • Strong collaboration skills—can work well with navigating various stakeholders and teams 
  • Able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment while juggling multiple tasks 
  • Passion for public media, radio and/or journalism 
  • A commitment to NYPR’s mission and a love for our programming 

Additional Information

This is a full-time role with a salary range of 66K-75K per year (plus a full benefits package). Salary offered within this range is determined by skills, experience and organizational pay equity. New York Public Radio offers excellent medical, dental, and vision insurance, vacation, personal and sick time as well as parental leave.

This role operates in a hybrid capacity with an expectation of coming to our NYC office 1-2 days per week. Given this role will be in the office, being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is required unless NYPR has approved a specific religious or medical exemption in advance of the first day of work. At this time, NYPR defines being fully vaccinated as having received two Moderna or Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations or one Johnson and Johnson vaccination.
