Senior Fund Administrator
Description
In this position, reporting to an Assistant Fund Treasurer, the Senior Fund Administrator participates in and performs reviews of fund administrative services provided to the Loomis Sayles and Natixis Funds. This position’s primary responsibilities include review of financial statements and regulatory filings, review of testing and compliance work, analyzing fund budgets and expenses and monitoring fund distributions. Duties also include performing oversight of the Sub-Administrator and Custodian, as well as other service providers of the Funds. The ideal candidate will enjoy being challenged in a dynamic environment, be able to operate independently and be willing to participate in team initiatives. Additional responsibilities will include maximizing technology and automation tools to streamline fund administration processes, enhancing reporting accuracy, and supporting regulatory compliance. The Senior Fund Administrator is encouraged to find opportunities for process improvements through automation. This is a hybrid position located in our Boston, MA office.
What you will do:
- Review financial statements for filing on Form N-CSR and other regulatory filings including Form N-Q, Form N-SAR, Form N1-A updates and Form 24F-2
- Participation in Fund expense related activities including coordination of expense payments with the Funds’ custodian; review expense accruals on an ongoing basis; assist with preparation of annual expense Board memos
- Participation in the annual 15c process for reviewing contracts for the Loomis Sayles and Natixis Funds
- Participate in tax related activities including tax returns, year-end distributions and 1099 reporting
- Review 1940 Act, IRS and Prospectus/SAI compliance work and proactively research any exceptions
- Review of Fund Administration compliance Rule 38a-1 testing
- Review distribution calculations prepared by the Sub-Administrator
- The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Queries, Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, and Power Automate, and be able to effectively leverage these tools throughout the preparation and review of fund administration functions.
- Other responsibilities may include but are not limited to participation in Fund performance reporting; review of marketing materials (including the Fund’s Websites) and monthly holdings reports; assisting with fund transactions (redemptions-in-kind, liquidations, etc.); and preparation of board communications and materials
What you will bring:
Experience/Skills Required
- Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business discipline
- 4+ years Fund Accounting/Fund Administration or equivalent experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
Experience/Skills Preferred
- Knowledge of financial reporting requirements would be beneficial
- Knowledge of client service/vendor oversight business model would be advantageous

In accordance with the Massachusetts Wage transparency act, the expected annual base salary for this Boston, MA, based position is $70,000.00 - $95,000.00. Actual annual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, and other job-related factors. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses and other Natixis sponsored benefit programs.
