Nashville General Hospital is hiring an Inpatient Nurse Manager (RN) for Women’s Health Services for full-time Day! 
   
The Registered Nurse Manager (RN) of Women's Health is responsible for the overall management & clinical operations of the Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, & Neonatal Intensive Care Unit departments within the LDRP model of care. This individual will champion the family-centered approach of LDRP, ensuring high-quality, comprehensive, & compassionate care for mothers, newborns, & their families. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in LDRP settings, a passion for women's & newborn health, & a strong commitment to evidence-based practice.
As a Nurse Manager, you will provide: 
Leadership: 
  • Provide overall leadership and direction for the L&D, Postpartum, and NICU departments within the LDRP model of care. 
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols that align with LDRP best practices and evidence-based care standards.  
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and mutual respect among staff, promoting a positive and supportive work environment. 
  • Serve as a role model and mentor for nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. 
Management: 
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the L&D, Postpartum, and NICU departments, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of care within the LDRP model. 
  • Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and budget to meet departmental needs and optimize resource utilization. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and LDRP guidelines. 
  • Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators, including patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and financial performance. 
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, satisfaction, and the overall LDRP experience. 
Clinical Practice: 
  • Maintain clinical competency in L&D, Postpartum, and NICU nursing, with a thorough understanding of the LDRP model of care. 
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to LDRP best practices. 
  • Participate in the development and implementation of LDRP-specific educational programs for staff and patients. 
  • Promote ongoing education and cross-functional training for staff members to enhance their understanding and implementation of the LDRP model of care. 
  • Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to create a seamless and integrated LDRP experience for families. 
  • Utilize 2nd assist experience to provide support and expertise during labor and delivery procedures. 
Advocacy and Collaboration: 
  • Advocate for the needs of women, newborns, and their families, ensuring that the LDRP model is implemented with a focus on family-centered care. 
  • Collaborate with community partners, perinatal organizations, and other stakeholders to promote maternal and newborn health initiatives. 
  • Participate in interdisciplinary committees and task forces related to LDRP care, contributing to the advancement of this model of care. 
Required Skills & Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Required (BSN); Master’s degree in Nursing preferred (MSN) 
  • Current RN license to practice in the State of Tennessee 
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in L&D, Postpartum, and/or NICU nursing, with at least 2 years of leadership experience in an LDRP setting
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP certification are preferred
