Facilities Manager
Description
Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Facilities Manager for Facilities Management as a full-time job in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Facilities Manager provides general oversight and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and support of buildings, grounds, and facility systems.
Facilities Manager Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assigns staffing to ensure 24-hour coverage.
- Oversees staff installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining of building systems including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, Carpentry, Painting, Safety and Water Management.
- Track, schedule, and assign work orders, preventive maintenance tasks and small projects using the hospital CMMS. Will work directly with Infection Prevention on developing and then maintaining ICRA’s.
- Maintain materials at minimum PAR levels, obtain quotes for parts and small repairs,
- Required to coordinate work to completed by contractors and skilled trades.
- Maintain a safe and effective working environment that complies with regulations, laws, and The Joint Commission Standards.
Facilities Manager Direct Oversight:

- Work Order system and Preventative Maintenance Program
- Keeping Parts / Supply PAR
- Building Automation both Primex and Metasys (JCI)
- Vendor Scheduling
- Submitting and tracking Requisitions / PO’s
- Floor Rounding
- Staff Safety Training Weekly
- Daily Huddles
- Key System
- Staff Time Management
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5-8 years Leadership within the trade required. (Healthcare Facilities preferred)
- Training certification from Union Apprenticeship or Trade School
- Be able to obtain ASHE Healthcare Physical Environment Worker Certification within six months.
- Other healthcare related certifications will be considered.
- Effective in managing a cloud-based work order system.
