Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Lead LPN/RN for Full-time days!
We are seeking an experienced and flexible Lead Nurse to join our ambulatory primary care and specialty clinic. The ideal candidate, whether an RN or LPN with leadership experience, will support the Nurse Manager in overseeing clinical operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care within a Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model. This role requires a blend of leadership and hands-on clinical skills, with the ability to step into staffing roles as needed. *This position works Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm*
As a Lead Nurse, you will:
- Assist the Clinic Manager in overseeing day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to clinical staff, including RNs and LPNs.
- Coordinate staff schedules, assignments, and time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage.
- Lead team huddles and meetings, promoting communication and collaboration among the care team.
- Perform clinical tasks as needed, including patient assessments, medication administration, wound care, and other nursing procedures.
- Engage patients and their families in care planning and decision-making, promoting self-management and shared decision-making.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as maintaining patient records, managing inventory, and ordering supplies.
- Monitor clinical performance metrics and assist in implementing improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), with an active and unrestricted license or certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a primary care or specialty clinic, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Familiarity with Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and Patient Centered Specialty Practice (PCSP) concepts and their implementation.
- BLS Certification required at the time of hire
