Nashville General Hospital is hiring for a Full Time Mid Shift ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfers) Registered Nurse (RN), Med/Surg in Nashville, Tennessee.
Nashville General Hospital seeks to hire an experienced ADT Registered Nurse (RN) for our 5th, 6th and 7th floor Medical Surgical Units who can work closely with House Supervisors.
As an ADT Med/Surg RN you will be responsible for:
- Oversees patient discharges, managing order, facilitating necessary education, and arranging follow-up care.
- Collaborating with nurses to prepare documentation and education for discharges.
- Admits, transfers, and discharges patients within inpatient units.
- Coordinate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth admission process.
- Completes reports, charging, clinical forms, and quality reviews accurately, legibly and within established timelines.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and optimize patient flow.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Associates in Nursing Program (or Diploma) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred.
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS required prior to employment
- Additional License or Certifications: Active TN RN License, CPI and NIH Stroke Required.
- Experience: 3 years of Staff Nurse experience Required; Critical Care nursing preferred.
