Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Triage Nurse for Full-time day! 
   
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Triage Nurse to join our ambulatory primary care and specialty clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing and prioritizing patient needs, providing appropriate medical advice, and ensuring efficient patient flow. The Triage Nurse plays a critical role in the delivery of patient-centered care by facilitating timely access to care and ensuring that patients receive the appropriate level of care based on their needs. *This is a Monday-Friday position working from 8am-4:30pm, with occasional potential evening and weekend coverage*
As a Triage Nurse, you will: 
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' symptoms and medical histories through phone or in-person consultations
  • Utilize established triage protocols to determine the urgency of patients' conditions
  • Provide patients with medical advice, health education, and self-care instructions based on their symptoms and medical history
  • Schedule appointments and referrals for patients requiring further evaluation or treatment
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient interactions, assessments, and care plans in the electronic medical records (EMR) system
  • Monitor and manage patient flow within the clinic to minimize wait times and optimize efficiency
 
Required Skills & Qualifications:  
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) with an active and unrestricted license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a triage, emergency, or ambulatory care setting
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
