We are seeking an experienced and strategic Ambulatory Business Manager to oversee the business operations of our ambulatory primary care and specialty clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial performance, optimizing operational efficiency, and supporting strategic growth initiatives. This role involves close collaboration with clinical and administrative leaders to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the clinic's budget, ensuring financial sustainability and accountability.
- Monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Oversee billing, coding, and reimbursement processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Prepare financial reports and analyses to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures and revenue enhancement strategies.
Operational Efficiency:
- Optimize clinic workflows and processes to enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for business and administrative functions.
- Utilize health information technology and data analytics to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure seamless integration of services.
Facility Management:
- Oversee maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of the clinic facilities.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for facility needs and improvements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
Patient Experience:
- Enhance patient satisfaction by streamlining administrative processes and improving front desk interactions.
- Address patient complaints and concerns related to administrative services, ensuring timely resolution.
- Implement and monitor patient feedback mechanisms to continually improve business and administrative services.
Strategic Growth and Development:
- Support the development and implementation of strategic plans to expand service offerings and improve patient care.
- Identify opportunities for business development and partnerships to enhance clinic growth.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
Compliance and Accreditation:
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards for business and administrative functions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for audits and inspections.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare business management or a similar role, preferably in an ambulatory care setting.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, billing, and coding processes.
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other healthcare technology.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff.
