Clinical Assistant - LPN/RN (Midtown)
Description
The Clinical Assistant - CMA/LPN/RN delivers care for patients across their life span, and through the use of the nursing process, assesses and documents the effects of care. Work cooperatively with ancillary, nursing, medical and other team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. This position will be working in our multispecialty clinic - Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm!
As a Clinical Assistant, you will:
- Create a positive experience by welcoming, assisting and educating clinic patients
- Escorts patient to exam room and documents vitals, chief complaint, medication and allergies in patient chart.
- Evaluates patient's status and make appropriate recommendations to the physician; documents in patient's chart
- Preparing and maintaining patient files by obtaining personal and health information
- Routinely maintains a safe and clean patient care work area to promote patient and visitor satisfaction.
- Setting up and stocking examination and procedure rooms
- Schedules all appointments, procedures and tests that DO NOT require a referral or authorization number
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Current Certified Medical Assistant Certification or Practical/Registered Nurse License in the state of Tennessee
- BLS Required at the time of hire
