Description

The Senior Director of Financial Business Operations will oversee the financial and operational performance of ambulatory operations, which includes procedure areas such as the Cath lab and endoscopy. This role will ensure the clinic's financial health, drive growth opportunities, and foster community engagement to increase patient volume and enhance our presence in the community.
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Financial Management: 
    • Develop and manage the clinic's annual budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
    • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions.
    • Provide regular financial reports and updates to managers and directors.
    • Identify and pursue opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement. 
    • Oversee billing, coding, and reimbursement processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.  
    • Oversees the administration of all aspects of fiscal and financial operations, including supervision of various fiscal division heads for Ambulatory Care; 
    • Oversees the development and implementation of short- and long-range fiscal strategic planning initiatives to ensure that current and future fiscal needs are clearly identified and addressed; 
    • Provides direction to resolve the most difficult and complex health care financial issues having a significant impact upon departmental operations; 
    • Oversees the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets, budget implementation, and management of the budgeting system; 
    • Directs the preparation of financial reports as needed for executive staff; 
  • Operational Oversight: 
    • Ensure the efficient operation of all clinical and procedural areas, including Cath lab and endoscopy.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize clinic operations.
    • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to streamline workflows and improve patient care.
    • Ensures and directs that internal control policies and procedures are implemented and establishes action plans for policy changes;
    • Communicates and advocates for the financial needs of the department;
  • Staff Leadership and Development: 
    • Lead, mentor, and support managers and directors in achieving their departmental goals.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Strategic Planning and Growth: 
    • Identify and evaluate growth opportunities, including new services, partnerships, and market expansions.
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase patient volume and clinic utilization.
    • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the clinic remains competitive and compliant.
    • Works closely with Revenue Cycle Management to meet, improve and maximize revenue and cash flow;
    • Participates in performance and quality improvement efforts;
     
    • Community Engagement: 
      • Develop and execute community outreach programs to promote clinic services and build relationships.
      • Represent the clinic at community events, health fairs, and other public engagements.
      • Collaborate with local organizations, businesses, and healthcare providers to enhance community presence.
    • Compliance and Risk Management: 
      • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
      • Identify and mitigate operational risks to protect patient safety and clinic reputation.
     
    Qualifications: 
    • Master's degree in business administration or healthcare administration, or a related healthcare field.
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in healthcare operations, with a focus on fiscal management.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a fiscal/financial management role.
    • Proven record of accomplishment of successfully managing budgets and driving financial performance.
    • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives.
    • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Experience with community engagement and outreach preferred.
