Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Monitor Tech for full-time Evenings

This position is primarily responsible for accurate monitoring of telemetry/cardiac patients. The monitor technician must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize arrhythmia changes and communicate this information to charge/nurse/licensed care provider. *This will be an evening position from 3pm-11pm Monday-Friday*

As a Monitor Tech, you will: 

• Supervise computer station which monitor patient heart rhythm, record findings, maintain records, maintain equipment
• Responsible for observing and interpreting patients cardiac rhythms on telemetry monitors. Quickly and accurately identifying any irregular or abnormalities, notifying medical staff (nurses and doctors) promptly
• Maintain thorough documentation of rhythm patterns and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety
• Collaborate with health care team to troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to maintaining a secure and efficient monitoring environment
• organizes workload and assist as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required
• Completion of approved Nursing Assistant program is preferred
• Must pass an arrhythmia test upon hiring
• BLS Required
• CPI required within first 30 days
