Medical and dental insurance is confusing, even for dental providers themselves. At Five Lakes Dental Practice Solutions, we take the insurance part off the provider’s plate and put it onto ours!  
  
What you’ll do  
As an Account Manager at Five Lakes, client relationships are at the forefront of your day while being a subject matter expert in the world of dental insurance and improving practice performance and revenue. This position mirrors that of a financial or management consultant. Our Account Managers review and understand current financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategic plans while working directly with dental providers, business managers, office managers, or other stakeholders of small to large-sized practice groups.  
  
This hybrid position will work Monday-Friday with up to 2 days onsite at our Pepper Pike, OH office (however, during initial onboarding and training, you will have to come into the office more frequently). We do have some clients on the West Coast, so flexing your schedule to accommodate may be needed.   
  
Variety in your day will never be short but day-to-day you could expect the following:  
  • Provide constant communication, education, and training while answering day-to-day client questions on PPO insurance, reimbursement rates, negotiations, and credentialing
  • Manage client accounts while fostering relationships and making connections
  • Promptly and regularly communicate via email, phone, text, and video conferencing with clients
  • Onboard new clients, analyze business data using Excel, and prepare recommendations/a plan of action
  • Conduct educational training meetings with clients about PPO insurance and reimbursement rates
  • Recognize and make strategic recommendations for business improvement
  • Work collaboratively with clients and internal team members to ensure client satisfaction
  
What you need to thrive in this role   
  • 3+ years of strategic account management experience in a service-based, client-facing, industry
  • Experience working in Microsoft Office suite- required, CRM experience- a plus
  • Comfortability in making suggestions to business professionals that align with their goals
  • Organized, efficient, client-first mindset, and outcome-driven
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Prior experience working with insurance/insurance companies is a plus but not required as there is in-depth training and a supportive team behind you every step of the way!
