• High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

• Prepare the operating room for upcoming surgeries
• Sterilize equipment and stock up any necessary supplies
• Prepare patients for their procedures
• Sterilize equipment and hand surgeons instruments upon request
• Order and take inventory of supplies and maintain files and records of procedures

• Test equipment for proper functioning.
• Maintain adequate inventory of sterile and non-sterile supplies.
• Set up case cares for surgical procedures on a routine and emergency basis.
• Perform daily maintenance on cleaning and sterilizing equipment placed within the department.
• Embraces, communicates and participates in ensuring departmental compliance with AAMI standards and The Joint Commission readiness.
