GENERAL SUMMARY
Interested in joining an amazing Pediatric practice in Gaylord, Michigan? We are seeking a dynamic and passionate physician to join our practice and enhance health care for children in our community. Our practice offers two Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, 1:1 MA’s, and an outstanding support team.
Our Pediatric practice offers evidence-based and age-appropriate care to infants, children, and adolescents. No inpatient pediatric care is provided at OMH, but our providers participate in shared newborn nursery call along with family medicine providers. Our team is supported by the neonatal and pediatric providers at Munson Medical Center for inpatient care, and Neonatologists and Pediatricians are available for consultation 24/7. Transport of sick newborns and children are coordinated through a centralized transfer center.

Reports any unsafe situation/equipment according to hospital procedures.
- Assists in policy and procedure development for Pediatric practice operations and clinical interventions.
- Maintains visibility within the community as a health care provider. Serves as a role model to clinic staff, faculty, and the community at large.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS
- MD or DO
- Successful completion of an approved U.S. Residency training program approved by the Accrediting Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) of the American Medical Association, or the American Osteopathic Association or its equivalent.
Certification, Licensure, Registration:
- Board eligible/certified for Pediatric practice in the State of Michigan
- NRP, BLS, certified
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidate must apply for and be granted applicable clinical privileges through MHC’s credentialing processes before rendering services.
- Good judgment and problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to make quality, independent medical decisions.
- Time management and organizational skills.
