What is the role?  

We are looking for a talented, experienced and ambitious WW Account Director to join the global m/SIX team working in a hybrid role in account management on global client accounts but with time accounted for within their scope to contribute to an agency level, wider workstream – more below.  

International client accounts – the role encompasses work on easyJet, Amazon and Webfleet Solutions.  

The WW Account Director role will encompass supporting the Account leads in setting the direction for the client and for your team, encompassing smooth day-to-day running of the account. You’ll be helping to lead the WW planning and the market coordination with our WW Strategy and Audience Planning teams plus the local agency planning teams across on easyJet workstreams, and in a more centralised set up for Webfleet and Amazon.   

This mix means the role offers both a Travel Sector and B2B Brand and Performance focus, requiring a broad skillset.  

Your hybrid role will also entail having time built into your remit that allows you to grow into a new area of responsibility, experience, and seniority. We have identified two such area of focus, dependant on the candidates background and future focus - agency growth OR operational process and best practice.   

At mSix&Partners we are passionate about giving people the space to grow and see this additional remit as offering the WW Account Director the chance to do so.  

This candidate will ideally have experience in managing fast paced, agile multi market clients with an edge and exposure towards both brand and Performance Digital (full funnel) new customer acquisition/ commerce.  

The planned split between these areas of focus will be easyJet 60%, Webfleet 20%, Amazon 20% and this will be optimised based on organic workflow and capacity.    

Where is the role based?  

The role is based in London. At mSix we support a hybrid working culture with time spent working from home and the mSix office in central London.  The balance of this should ideally be 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.   

Who are the clients?  

easyJet are a low-cost European point-to-point airline. They use cost advantage, operational efficiency and leading positions in primary airports to deliver low fares, seamlessly connecting Europe with the warmest welcome in the sky.
   

easyJet is one of the largest airlines in the world, with 336 aircraft, operating 1,024 routes across 36 countries and 155 airports. easyJet holidays was launched in 2019 in order to offer holiday packages which encourage the 84% of customers travelling on leisure to spend more with us, rather than book accommodation elsewhere. They also happen to be one of our most recent wins across EMEA, plus they have recently introduced a Holidays package offering which is super exciting and profitable.
   

We work with easyJet across 7 EMEA markets with local teams on the ground in each country, core markets are the UK, France and Italy.  

   

Webfleet Solutions are a B2B Telematics solutions company and part of the Bridgestone family. They offer a range of fleet management solutions, and our work with them focuses on full funnel brand and performance digital activity with the ultimate aim of driving high quality sales leads for their fulfilment teams. We are in year 2 of the relationship after a successful first year, running activity across EMEA all from our central biddable hub team across London and Athens.  

   

Amazon is one of the biggest spending and most high-profile advertising accounts globally and one of our most dynamic and exciting accounts at mSix&Partners. We work across a number of Amazon divisions in the agency each with either a global or regional remit that is managed centrally from the WW team here in the UK. The account is fast-paced and very digital focused and involves managing a central agency account, planning and activation team and ensuring that we maintain a smooth working relationship with the other WPP partners we work with on the account.  

   

What are your responsibilities?  

        Build strong, trusted relationships with senior clients and internal stakeholders  

        The primary point of contact for all day-to-day client related queries  

        No2 support for the Account Lead and connector of all disciplines  

        Key owner of finance and commercial requirements of the account, ensuring all activation teams buy, reconcile and bill correctly and timely delivery of all ongoing financial elements on a monthly basis  

        Manage direct reports (Account Manager and Account Executive) to ensure they are delivering best in class client service and working effectively with local market teams  

        Maintain and grow a strong understanding of local market landscapes, audiences and nuances for the markets within your client’s portfolios. Demonstrate internally and to clients your ability to steer planning recommendations based on this understanding whilst leaning in to local teams to ensure we are delivering locally tailored solutions  

        Lead on end-to-end cross-channel media recommendations and giving clear direction to the team to ensure approach is fuelled by insights/data and tells a clear story - pulling in cross-team and senior support as and when required  

        Build a deep understanding and be well versed of the client categories, competition and client’s business in which they operate in order to understand the challenges and opportunities they face  

        Be able to develop and have a POV on managing the portfolio across various briefs and ensure a fully integrated approach – especially in through the eyes of the consumer  

        Ensure that specialists are working effectively across projects, monitoring our delivery of the client scope and tracking it on an ongoing basis  

        Manage ongoing reporting requirements, quality controlling output and presenting to clients with actionable insights on an ongoing basis  

        Together with the Business Director look for opportunities for driving revenue growth  

        Create the conditions for great work and champion great work: manage the team to ensure outstanding client service.  

        Maintain great relations with external agencies, internal teams & media owners to understand what services and products exist that could help deliver our client’s business KPIs  

        Be a champion of the network; forming strong relationships with all markets; surfacing and sharing the greatest work and raising the floor within markets  

        Demonstrating understanding of wider WPP partner agencies and exploring opportunities to collaborate for the benefit of clients and mSix.
   

Who are you?  

        You will have considerable experience of planning and coordinating communication strategies not just media planning and comfortable in working ATL Performance Digital media solutions  

        You will have a strong understanding of communications planning and the flexibility to adopt/adapt different approaches to create differentiating solutions  

        You will have excellent client servicing skills leadership and influencing skills. Previous experience gained on a similar fast paced and quality-focused brands would be a distinct advantage  

        You will have a proven track record in growing both your client’s and the agencies’ business  

        You will consistently demonstrate curiosity and have a drive to make themselves better at what they do and to increase their knowledge.  

        You are someone who has a passionate to learn and maintain a detailed topical knowledge of relevant media developments, and actively seeks opportunities to learn    

        You will be highly collaborative and facilitate a productive working relationship across the agency as well as someone who is passionate about leading and managing people  

        A self-starter who works well in a fastpaced, team-oriented environment – someone who elevates themselves and the teams when great work is achieved. We want to celebrate the good times.
