What you will do:

Designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, configures and maintains website(s) for internal and external communications for the company and/or for external customers and clients. Ensures website is available to the desired audience with appropriate links and security. Develops, assesses and communicates website usage and security policies and procedures. Designs web page layout, graphics, color schemes and infrastructure to maintain a cohesive website based on the organization's communications strategies and goals. Researches and evaluates new related technologies. Follow guidelines and meet agency requirements for web analytics and accessibility.

 Maintain and update the NCCS website in Drupal using configuration management.  Update content as required.  Update internal web portals for staff use.  Maintain Daily Status Report dashboard.  Collaborate with the web developers at the NASA Advanced Supercomputing Division at NASA Ames.  Support web based user surveys.  Support promotion of development features and security patches to production through the use of version control (Git).  

Provide support to the User Support Group with phone call requests, manage incoming tickets and appropriately assign them to internal teams.  Provide level 1 support to the NCCS user community.  Provide application support for Atlassian products (Confluence and Jira) for NCCS staff.

Assist the communications team with their outreach projects.

Job Requirements:
  • BS Degree + 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Drupal, preferably Drupal 9, including Content Types, Blocks, Modules, Views, Videos, and Webforms
  • Experience with Javascript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery
  • Experience with MySQL, Git
  • Basic Linux skills required with system administration background a plus
  • Familiarity with Apache on a Linux system; understands basics of configuring Apache
  • Familiarity with Python and/or Perl
  • Experience with Footprints or other ticketing service system a plus
  • Experience with User support a plus
