The Senior Payroll Accountant is responsible for
managing the preparation, distribution and reporting processes related to payroll for all US employees. In addition to ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll, this position has primary responsibility for managing payroll accounting, 401k reporting / requirements and related regulatory reporting and filing requirements, and providing information and assistance to company personnel in all aspects related to payroll.


  • Ensure proper payment of US employees in a multi-state environment by directing the production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers via ADP
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as company's payroll and benefit policies and procedures
  • Identify and drive process improvement initiatives to create an efficient and scalable payroll support structure
  • Establish organization-wide standards and best practices including developing and updating policies, procedures and workflows
  • Partner with Human Resource and Finance departments to ensure positive collaboration efforts to provide efficient company-wide payroll operations
  • Interface with internal and external individuals, departments and agencies to answer questions, resolve issues, provide required reports, obtain and share information related to payroll or payroll procedures
  • Prepare monthly payroll journal entries and account reconciliations, provide research and analysis as necessary
  • Maintain the maintenance of payroll records and databases to ensure efficient responses to all payroll related requests
  • Balance benefit invoices to employee deductions
  • Ensure data feeds between ADP and vendors are accurate
  • 401k reporting and compliance
  • Year end 401(k) census/testing/Preparation of 5500
  • Review payroll calculations for non-exempt, exempt staff, bonus and commission payments, sick, vacation, holiday and leave payment calculations; record restricted stock transactions and third party sick payments
  • Execute various secure data feeds to off-site benefits and third-party administration vendors for 401(k) and benefit providers
  • Worker’s compensation audits/estimates
  • Review/audit Executive compensation
  • ADP Administration
  • Manage the Corporate Credit Program and serve as an administrator
  • Review employee expense reports in preparation for reimbursement
  • Manage stock equity administration
