Head of Product Marketing

MetricStream is seeking a Head of Product Marketing to lead, inspire and scale its high performing global team of Product Marketers. In this role, you will own Product Marketing. You will set the vision and road map for how to bring our product to the market so that we are viewed as the most relevant brand in the industry. Among other things, you will do this by developing and communicating a corporate story that resonates with customers and partners, identifying market opportunities and threats, developing strategy for product positioning and messaging, building GTM plans and, implementing new product strategy by collaborating closely with Sales, Engineering, Professional Services, Customer Success and Support teams across key geographies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Inbound Product Marketing including product definition, understanding customer needs, defining product strategy and working with Development
  • Responsible for Outbound Product Marketing which includes, among other things, content creation, evangelism, participating in trade shows and CXO roundtables
  • Responsible for Partner Ecosystem Marketing working with Alliances
  • Be the Product Domain expert and help Field Sales close deals with customers
  • Lead Go-To-Market/Growth-Market Strategies. For existing, new and next-generation products, optimize product-market fit and execute breakthrough launch strategies
  • Create, own and operate MetricStream product messaging, packaging and positioning for the entire product portfolio
  • Partner closely with senior leadership, Marketing and Sales leadership to understand conceptual ideas, product innovations, and competitive positioning
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies and campaigns focusing on cyber risk and compliance to increase market penetration, value realization, and customer retention
  • Develop the market requirements, buyer personas, and segmentation details/definitions necessary for product and content strategy, sales enablement, and field marketing execution
  • Identify opportunities and recommend approaches to scale marketing programs across target geographical markets and focus industries
  • Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrate thought leadership at key industry events, conferences, analyst/media briefings, and critical customer meetings
  • Assess competitive landscape to stay on top of customer feedback and industry trends
  • Manage and remain accountable for Product Marketing annual operating plan and budget
  • Mentor and grow a team of top product marketing talent

 

Skills and Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in Enterprise Applications and SaaS Product Marketing
  • Experience in Banking/Financial Services and other regulated industries. GRC/Cyber GRC industry experience is a plus
  • Experience developing Product Marketing strategies including pricing and product launches
  • Working closely with Sales to close deals
  • Led global and remote teams
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Results-oriented approach and proven ability to influence stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)

Education

  • BS in Computer Science/Engineering, BA/BS in marketing, business or related fields
  • MBA is highly desired
