Inventory Control Clerk - Relief
Description
Under general supervision, but according to established procedures performs clerical duties associated with the inventory control function. Calculates and posts disbursements, records purchase orders, maintains vendor record on computer system.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 months experience in inventory control preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft programs
- Office experience preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Collects previous days disbursements. Checks for proper account number and enters on computer.
- Updates computer inventory control information by making additions, deletions, price changes and so on.
- Fills direct/immediate requisitions by waiting on personnel in Storeroom area or pulling and delivering individual telephone orders.
- Prepares monthly departmental Storeroom expense report and distributes to all departments.
- Performs related clerical and office duties such as prepares reports and answering telephone.
- Interacts with all associates, guests, and physicians in a courteous, respectful, and friendly manner. Remains aware of visitors and patients in the Hospital's public areas; assists these Hospital customers whenever it appears appropriate by providing directions, helping them with chairs or doors, etc. Adheres to the Hospitality \"\"House Rules.\"\"
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/area's/department's policies and procedures.
