RN Infection Control Coordinator, Full Time
Description
Coordinates and assists in Infection Control Processes that support Infection Control. Serves as a resource for the institution. QUALIFICATIONS Education
Minimum: Graduate of an approved nursing program
Preferred: BSN preferred.
Credentials/Licensure
Minimum: Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan
Related Experience
Minimum: Four years acute care experience. Experience in health care delivery with past interaction with medical staff and hospital administration.
Preferred: Previous education and experience in utilization and quality improvement
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Minimum: Statistical and systems analysis skills. Advanced interpersonal skills, sensitivity and excellent communication skills \u2013 verbal and non-verbal. Ability to educate and motivate physicians and other health care providers.
Computer Competency
Shows how to use (through a competency assessment) a standard desktop and windows based computer system, including a basic understanding of email, e-learning, intranet and computer navigation. Ability to use other software as required to perform the essential functions of the job. Physical/Mental
Minimum: Some walking and standing each day. Ability to lift up to a maximum of 35lbs. and perform push/pull tasks that require a maximum force of 35 lbs. Ability to physically operate safe patient movement equipment in compliance with the Safe Patient Movement Policy. Ability to concentrate and read for long periods of time. Tolerance for frequent interruptions. Ability to work on many different projects during one time frame and coordinate work so deadlines are met.
