Mercy Health Position Summary
Under direct supervision of a registered nurse and in accordance with established policies and procedures, observes cardiac rates and rhythms. Performs related clerical and service duties. Qualifications: Level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through completion of high school; must have successfully completed an approved course pertaining to the identification of EKG rhythms; ACLS certification and/or six months paramedic experience preferred; must successfully complete telemetry exam with a score of 80% or greater; ability to electrocadiographically monitor patients (adult and pediatric) and interpret cardiac rhythms; ability to work effectively under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
