We’re looking for an experienced Sales Manager to be part of our team. As a member of our team, you’ll focus on leading a team of salespeople whose primary focus is to exceed digital, print, and bottom line revenue goals while increasing their books of business. 

  • Build and maintain a positive and winning sales culture 
  • Create and execute sales initiatives to exceed established revenue goals
  • Build and maintain relationships with our client base
  • A true passion for digital marketing
  • Open doors with marketing executives and advertising agencies of clients not currently doing business with the Miami Herald Media Company
  • Participate as an impact player on the Advertising leadership team. 
  • Set benchmarks and sales goals for the sales team and measure performance on a consistent basis
  • Set the tone and pace of an aggressive results-oriented sales team
  • Create an open, engaging, and highly professional work environment that leads to a highly motivated workforce
  • Help train, coach, and develop the sales team on our core sales approach
  • Assist sales representatives in preparation of proposals and presentations
  • Attract, retain, and motivate top talent
  • Work closely with the Director to develop a unified vision and collaborative team culture
This role requires an individual with passion, enthusiasm and a drive to motivate and help drive team member success.  A real team player and someone who sets high expectations for themselves and can demonstrate the ability and commitment to succeed in this role.  

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field
  • 5+ years relevant experience in digital media, sales leadership, and change management
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain successful sales teams
  • CRM sales management software experience, Salesforce preferable
  • Strong business acumen, communication skills, presentation skills, and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain successful sales teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Skilled at managing multiple priorities; making swift decisions; working through stressful situations and solving problems quickly
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to analyze and accurately forecast revenue
  • Proven experience in leading a sales team throughout constant change
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – written and verbal
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Google Suite
