JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Maintain and repair production equipment to ensure maximum production, equipment life and safety.  

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. *Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment.  Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Clean, lubricate and check for equipment wear.
  • Make necessary adjustments on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production run.
  • Perform welding when necessary.

 

  1. *Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to:
  • Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Comply with OSHA safety and health rules.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance a plus.
  • Five years of manufacturing experience; demonstrated mechanical and industrial skills is preferred.
  • Welding experience.
  • Ability to reach schematics. 
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and to contribute in a team environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing work priorities.
  • Must demonstrate regular and reliable attendance. Additional hours, including overtime, may be required depending on workload.
  • Follows all safety and security policies and procedures in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal laws. Safety and security are every employee’s responsibility.
