Staff Software QA Engineer

Software QA with experience in wafer processing and handling environment. .


  • Responsible for developing test cases, test plans and test metrics of the tool operating software
  • Responsible for the design, development, and execution of application specific functional and regression tests used to measure the quality, robustness, and performance of tool operating software
  • Work closely with the software application developers and product marketing team to help deliver timely product releases that effectively meet our customer's needs
  • Providing all stakeholders with appropriate regression reports in a timely manner
  • Start the foundation and framework for automated testing.
  • Any additional responsibilities assigned

  • Ability to seek resources and consultation internally and externally to formulate the right plan before and during testing
  • Seek internal and external customer feedback and requirements, formulate solutions, present them to software team
  • Ability to work well and communicate effectively with a team of engineers from multiple disciplines (system, electrical, process)

Technical Skills

  • Solid understanding of capital tool testing or operations.
  • 5+ years testing experience for a semiconductor equipment manufacturer or a tool owner/operator in a FAB
  • Technical degree in computer science/computer engineering it equivalent field is required
  • Experience in white and black box methodology
  • Experience in software life cycle and testing methodology
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in third party/open source automation testing programs is a plus

Environmental, Health & Safety Requirements:

·         Successful completion of required Safety training.

·         Ensure equipment and machines are maintained in safe operating condition.

·         Report to the Safety Officer any unsafe or unhealthy condition which cannot be corrected.

·         Follow all safety and health regulations and work practices, including personal protective equipment where applicable.
