Systems Engineer – Senior Staff 

Join a talented engineering team tasked with developing new state of the art capital equipment for the Semiconductor Industry.  This is a Sr. Staff level individual contributor role within the System’s Engineering team of the Plasma Products Division.  Work across multiple product lines in both Plasma Etch and Photo Resist Removal with the ability to develop and/or enhance tool designs and software in subjects from wafer transfer and robotics to plasma processing.  Teamwork, recognition and reward as well as career paths opportunities are core values to the culture of the team and the company.   • The Systems Team understands all functionalities of the tool from wafer transfer to process details
  • The Systems Team understands and has responsibility to ensure the link between software and hardware is contiguous and that functionalities are appropriate
  • Functional testing of both hardware and software with characterization and reports, resulting in BKM or design approval/rejection
  • Interaction with regional business units and/or customers (some travel necessary) to resolve customer issues or develop new solutions
  • Defines experiments and determines the type of meaningful data required to support evaluation and technical decision
  • Lead and/or develop, and execute complex system projects. Leads module design and engineering. Takes active part in the design of complex modules / sub-modules. Qualifies complex systems
  • Will work with 3rd party analytic labs on Material analysis: XPS, Auger, Optical Profilometry, EDX, SEM, TEM, AFM

Skills and Requirements: 

  • Eperience in hardware development; hardware testing, software functional validation and lab work specifically in the area of plasma processing
  • Experience in RF, vacuum, gas distribution, thermal management, robotics, mechanisms, control systems and semiconductor product engineering a plus
  • Must have strong hands on capability and be self reliant in a lab setting
  • Appropriate background in systems engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemistry or physics is required
  • Direct experience with testing hardware/software to validate functionality with the ability to write test plans and analyze data to determine the outcome
  • Proficient in  the use of analytical equipment: DASYLab, MATLAB, Network Analyzer
  • Problem identification and troubleshooting a wide range of complex problems. Leads research and analysis results
  • 5+ years of experience in Semi Cap Equipment
  • MS degree in engineering or science with 10 years’ experience
  • Any additional responsibilities assigned

Environmental, Health & Safety Requirements:

  • Successful completion of required Safety training.
  • Ensure equipment and machines are maintained in safe operating condition.
  • Report to the Safety Officer any unsafe or unhealthy condition which cannot be corrected.
  •  Follow all safety and health regulations and work practices, including personal protective equipment where applicable.
