Description
- Coordinate all in-house electrical repairs and upgrades, including those related to plant controls for mining operations
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions
- Collaborate with contractors, team members and plant managers.
- Support corporate safety culture and perform duties in compliance with all safety rules and regulations
- Keep accurate records (work performed, materials used, hours worked)
- Lead by example on all MMM safety rules/procedures and MSHA compliance standards and ensure that all employees are following established safety policies and procedures
- 2+ year technical degree in electrical or comparable experience preferred
- 2+ years’ experience in aggregates or similar industry desired
- Certified /Licensed is not necessary but is a plus
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Outstanding vendor relations skills (internal and external contractors)
- Must be willing to be on-call
- Working knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems required
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, test instruments, and electrical construction tools
- Experience with PLC is not necessary but a plus
- Work requires the ability to lift a maximum of 100 lbs
- Must be able to climb stairs, climb ladders, reach, squat, tolerate prolonged standing/walking, balance, bend from trunk, operate mobile equipment, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects
- Work requires the ability to perform sustained overhead reaching
- Work requires the ability to use vibration tools
- Work requires the ability to perform work while lying on your back for prolonged periods and in some cases cramped quarters
- Work requires the ability to work in areas with the potential for high noise levels
- Work is performed 90% outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather and 10% indoors
- Able to reason through difficult operations problems, resolve said problems, and/or relate same to others

Salary Posting:
We are excited to share the base range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00, exclusive of benefits or bonuses (discretionary and non-discretionary). The offered base hourly compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at Martin Marietta we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the compensation for those in similarly situated roles and direct team members. The posted range for this role represents the total reasonable pay range and does not solely represent a hiring range. Therefore, hiring at the top or maximum of the range should not be expected as it would not allow for salary growth opportunities in the role, would diminish promotion value, and may not align with internal equity.
