SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Workday Integrations Lead (Senior Solutions Architect) will work under the direction of the Business Applications Manager and will be part of the Enterprise Applications team.  This individual will function as the resident Workday technical expert.  The primary focus of this role will be to work with HRIS, Business partners , vendors, and be the lead to take care of all the integrations to and from Workday. This role will also be accountable for ensuring that new Workday integrations or enhancements to existing integrations is designed and solutioned correctly, with responsibility to ensure all downstream impacts are captured and planned.

As the Lead responsible for all Workday integrations, you will be required to assist and provide quality and solid system designs and technical solutions to solve various business requirements. To be successful, you must have proven experience managing technical solution within the projects through the entire project lifecycle. The role requires an individual who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in expectation management. You should be able to deliver effective presentations, solution walk-through to audiences of all sizes and possess excellent communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Monitor the overall health of integration systems from and to Workday
  • Responsible for the discovery and design of technical integrations for the Workday deployments and enhancements
  • Create integrations and deliver enhancement requests
  • Maintain and monitor integration schedules, notifications, 509 key pairs, and performance
  • Reviews technical customer alerts and identifies impacts to security configuration
  • Maintain Single Sign On integrations for all tenants in the enterprise
  • Modify, launch, and view integration events in Workday
  • Triage integration notifications such as completed with warnings or failure
  • Investigate Workday integration failures from a business process, data quality or integration system perspective
  • Research and troubleshoot transport protocol-related issues (SFTP/PGP)
  • Perform business analysis to determine if Workday configuration changes are needed
  • Aid in user acceptance or regression testing for Workday updates
  • Aid in the management and creation of Workday reports
  • Aid in the creation and management of inbound EIB (for mass data loads)
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the Workday functional and testing teams
  • Work with the business to develop specific requirements and architect solutions in Workday
  • Ensure developed solutions meet business, technical and operational support requirements.
  • Define and apply governance principles across the Workday technical solution and ensure design decisions are appropriately reviewed to ensure they meet the desired business end state and Martin Marietta architecture & security standards
  • Maintain awareness of Workday technology e.g. WQL, Extend
  • Serve as Level-3 support: support inquiries, testing and special projects that require deep technical expertise.
  • Ensure governance processes are followed through each step of support
  • Understand Martin Marietta SDLC and work with business partners to implement changes
  • Communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Include non-functional requirements (such as security, performance, roll-back, etc.) in the technical design
  • Write and execute test cases to run unit test and manage defect tracking for development.
  • Scope and deliver the technical solution for requests coming through the helpdesk ticketing system, prioritized and approved by stakeholders..
  • Assist with Workday security and compliance requirements of end user security in compliance with Martin Marietta ‘s GRC policies

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in field of Computer Science required (foreign equivalent accepted)
  • 7+ years of experience with Workday platform and -technologies (EIBs, Web Service APIs, Studio Integrations, XML and XSLT, Core Connectors, Custom Reports, Calculated Fields, Data Architecture)
  • 7+ years of experience in an Integrations- or Data Conversion Lead role
  • 5+ years of experience with Hire-to-Retire (HR and Payroll) business processes
  • 5+ years of experience with Workday AMS (Production Support)
  • 2+ years of working experience with internal- and external SOX auditors
  • Must have Integration Certification in Workday
  • Candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Raleigh, NC area

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Normal office environment. Travel: 10% to various unanticipated company locations throughout the U.S.
