Job Description       
This position will support the Alden office located in Alden, IA. The individual will be responsible for providing administrative support to all teams in the office, various support departments within the district and will perform some daily, weekly, and monthly general/basic accounting functions.
 
Essential Functions
  • Welcome visitors, answer inbound phone calls, and direct inquiries
  • Back up scale operations as need
  • Incoming mail processing and distribution
  • Pay invoices via Esker or P-card
  • Maintain office supplies, and coordinate office equipment maintenance and repairs as needed
  • Support office staff with general questions and meeting coordination
  • Other administrative duties assigned

Physical Demands
This job operates 80-90% of the time in an office environment and 10-20% of the time outdoors. Employees are occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
 
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position and will require 40+ hours per week with occasional travel to other Martin Marietta sites.
 
Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient within Microsoft Outlook programs
  • Customer service experience preferred
