Dredge Utility Person
Description
- Responsible for operating a variety of equipment utilized in dredge mining
- Perform daily Pre/Post shift inspection of vehicle and work area
- Perform pre-shift safety inspection on equipment and report needed repairs to the supervisor
- Perform repairs and routine maintenance on dredge equipment
- Observe visual and auditory signals during vehicle operation
- Experience with water craft, john boats, cables, pipeline & diesel engines.
- All other duties as assigned
- Able to operate dredge and complete maintenance as needed
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and ability to weld a plus
- Able to work cooperatively with others toward a shared goal, contribute actively to the team efforts, and possess a positive attitude in working with others as a team
- Possess effective coordination and communication skills
- Possess strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge and skills
- Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to perform duties with minimal supervision
- Able to work varying shifts as needed, outdoors, in varying weather conditions
- Able to adhere to MSHA guidelines and plant safety rules and regulations
- Able to ensure a safe work environment by prioritizing safety, then quality, followed by production
- Swimming skills a plus

- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position
- Experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment and/or equipment used processing plants
- Preferred 3-5 years of mining experience

Salary Posting:
We are excited to share the base range for this position is $26.00-$42.00, exclusive of benefits or bonuses (discretionary and non-discretionary). The offered base hourly compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at Martin Marietta we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the compensation for those in similarly situated roles and direct team members. The posted range for this role represents the total reasonable pay range and does not solely represent a hiring range. Therefore, hiring at the top or maximum of the range should not be expected as it would not allow for salary growth opportunities in the role, would diminish promotion value, and may not align with internal equity.
