Predictive Maintenance Technician
Description
Pay: $28 - $46 an hour
Martin Marietta is currently looking for a motivated individual to be responsible for collecting and analyzing data on rotating and fixed equipment with collection routes covering sites in Iowa. Specifically, the Predictive Maintenance Technician will use advanced detection techniques (Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, Thermo-graphics, NDT and ultra sound) to perform these inspections. The technician will then record and analyze the data, prepare reports and make recommendations based on trends and threat level.

- Actively support Martin Marietta’s safety program
- Complete planned inspections of all assigned plant equipment and initiate follow-up work orders based on inspection results
- On a daily basis validate and prioritize the scope of work needed
- Diagnose and detect equipment failures in advance to prevent unplanned downtime
- Complete appropriate, detailed maintenance work orders
- Follow-up on all inspections and ensure work was done and documented correctly
- Provide technical support for plant activities and the maintenance functions
- Coordinate with production to get feedback on equipment conditions
- Monitor and coordinate condition predictors for all equipment
- Validate and update equipment specification files as well as history files
- Propose economic ways to extend the life of plant equipment
- Use appropriate programs to track maintenance activity
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing and/or maintenance environment
- Technical Degree or Certificates preferred
- Prior experience as an Inspector or Maintenance Planner highly preferred
- Bi-Lingual is a plus
Physical Demands
- Climb up to 60 feet above ground on ladders and catwalks
- Walk/stand on uneven ground, throughout the work day
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, kneel and climb ladders/stairs to inspect facilities and to observe/perform work activities throughout the work day
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability and willingness to work nights and days during outages
- Must possess good dexterity and hand/eye coordination for use of various hand tools
- Able to reason through difficult operations problems, resolve said problems and/or relate same to others
- Capability of working for long periods of time in extreme heat and in dusty areas, confined spaces and heights
- Ability to work at heights (up to 350’)
Travel
Travel will be frequent and expected throughout Iowa.
