What to expect:
 
Martin Marietta is seeking a Plant Manager I to join our team. This individual will be responsible for safely and efficiently leading and managing all safety efforts at the plant as well as planning, pit development, quality control, customer service and maintenance functions in a quarry environment. Objectives include asset protection, financial planning, budgeting, cost control, personnel and community relations.  Additionally, ensure compliance with company mandated safety and environmental policies, programs and guidelines, while providing strong leadership, training, team building and supervision. 
 
A typical day for a(n) Plant Manager I may include:
 
·         Leading the safety, health, environmental programs, guidelines and policies
·         Leading and developing salary and hourly workforce to create teamwork and drive a safe and productive environment
·         Ensuring compliance with Company, Local, State and Federal rules and regulations
·         Leading operations to established production, safety, and environmental objectives and metrics
·         Responsibility for the planning and scheduling of plant activities to include schedule, production, maintenance, and training activities
·         Performing incidental and related duties as required and assigned
·         Accountability to manage a team of hourly and salary employees
·         Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor 
 
You may be a good fit if you:
 
·         Possess a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering (preferably Mining or Civil), Mining Technology or related discipline or equivalent experience required
·         Have 5 years' aggregates industry experience including prior production management experience at a comparable size operation preferred
·         Have 3+ years of experience as a Foreman or position of similar responsibility
