Position Overview:
As a Purchase Lending Officer at loanDepot, you will play a pivotal role in assisting prospective homebuyers who have been transferred to you from our outbound call center. Leveraging your expertise in mortgage products and lending guidelines, you will guide customers through the purchase loan process, providing personalized solutions and exceptional service every step of the way.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with prospective homebuyers via inbound and outbound calls to understand their financing needs and recommend appropriate loan options.
  • Educate customers on loan programs, interest rates, and terms, answering questions and addressing concerns to help them make informed decisions.
  • Gather and review customer financial information, including income, assets, and credit history, to assess loan eligibility and qualify applicants.
  • Assist customers with completing loan applications accurately and efficiently, ensuring all required documentation is provided.
  • Collaborate with processing and underwriting teams to expedite loan approvals and closings, maintaining regular communication with customers to provide updates on their loan status.
  • Meet or exceed production goals and quality standards set by loanDepot, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in sales performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting mortgage lending, continuously expanding your knowledge and expertise.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, building rapport and trust with customers while upholding loanDepot's reputation for integrity and professionalism.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage lending, preferably in a call center environment.
  • Recent purchase experience highly recommended.
  • Holds 5+ active NMLS licenses.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage products, loan origination processes, and underwriting guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and connect with customers.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in mortgage software and CRM systems, with the ability to adapt to new technology platforms.
  • Results-driven mindset with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay for this role is Minimum Wage based on the County of Residence. Your base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors, including your job-related knowledge/skills, qualifications, experience, and market location.
