JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing architectural guidance of LD’s enterprise technology ecosystem, including
infrastructure, software, and endpoints. Responsible for acting as subject matter expert (SME) in enterprise
customer engagement strategies. Acts as a visionary for the department, creating short and long-term
strategic and technical roadmaps that support LD’s ongoing disruption to traditional mortgage business
models by using new and emerging technologies. The Voice Architect will design, develop and implement
network and telecommunications infrastructure according to the needs of loanDepot. The Architect monitors
the organization's networks and its connections with respect to voice health and stability, and they play an
active role in the installation of all Voice related technologies. They also evaluate, configure and maintain
Voice hardware and software. Design and configure carrier related services and circuits.
Plays a pivotal role in IT by aggregating knowledge, roadmaps, and best practices into a core, centralized set of
plans. Listens, shapes, and aggregates the knowledge of experts around LD and in the industry to create a
central, agreed strategy and blueprint.

This role requires deep knowledge in one or more of the following competencies – virtualization technologies,
cloud platforms, end-user computing, digital workplace technologies, mobility platforms, Cisco VoIP
technologies, session border controllers, carrier voice technologies.
Ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state
and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides consultation and technical expertise on IT systems and process planning by assessing the
implications of IT strategies on infrastructure capabilities.
2. Develops architecture standards and provides technical oversight for systems and projects that are
required to be scaled and highly available.
3. Collaborates with IT leaders and IT engineers to help define and understand target strategies. Evaluates
new service options, identifies issues and impacts, and makes recommendations on feasibility and ROI
of new technologies.

4. Designs complex infrastructure solutions that address enterprise challenges and matures LD’s
technology roadmap to SaaS, IaaS, and hybrid delivery models.
5. Collaborates extensively with internal teams (Applications, Security, Infrastructure Engineering, and
DevOps) and vendors on architecture strategy and roadmaps. Works to ensure functional specifications
are converted into flexible, scalable, and maintainable designs.
6. Works in close partnership with the IT Security on designs and configurations to ensure the IT systems
meet the risk and security expectations of LD’s security policy.
7. Facilitates the implementation of key enterprise solutions by developing and documenting detailed
standards (guidelines, processes, and procedures) and performing gap analysis to expected results.
8. Drives innovation and continuous improvement for the IT environment.
9. Develops and validates system designs in conjunction with subject matter experts in security and
infrastructure.
10. Writes, reviews, and validates clear technical specifications and documentation.

STANDARD DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Deploy, troubleshoot, monitor and optimize IP telephony, voice, and video and mobility solutions
• Develop and implement the physical design and architecture of computer networks with respect to
voice infrastructure.
• Involved in certain aspects of Data Center, LAN, and WAN design.
• Follows policies and procedures; completes tasks correctly and on time; supports the company’s goals
and values.
• Identify and resolve the issues relating to the Cisco software, Cisco IP phones, and voicemail. They
should coordinate with other hardware and software professionals relating to networks and
telecommunications. It is the Cisco Call Manager duty to be the primary point of contact for any queries
relating to ISP outages and other issues.
• Lead the design and implementation of Cisco Unified Communication products. They have to play an
active role in software upgrades on existing Cisco voice deployments. The job role also involves
providing technical assistance to Network Analysts & Network Professionals.
• Create, analyze and troubleshoot the call flows and look into call detail records. They should
understand its role in the complex multi-component environment.
• Will design and deploy solution for the multi-site environment in Cisco technologies. They have to
showcase strong passion and capabilities in innovation and advancement in contact center technologies
and concepts. Should own the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform
application systems.

• Assist with trouble tickets as on need basis or on a scheduled rotation basis. It is advantageous to have
experience with network fundamentals including TCP/IP networking (IPv4/IPv6).
• Must document activities relating to the maintenance of equipment and manage both planned and
unplanned network maintenance and outages. They are responsible for keeping themselves up-to-date
with new developments relating to Cisco collaboration technologies.
• Performs the position safely, without endangering the health or safety of themselves or others and will
be expected to report potentially unsafe conditions. The employee shall comply with occupational
safety and health standards and all rules, regulations and orders issued pursuant to the OSHA Act of
1970, which are applicable to one’s own actions and conduct.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES:
• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Computer Science, and a minimum of ten (10) + years’
experience leading technical or project teams with or without direct reports.
• Experience with infrastructure and application lifecycle management required.
• Minimum of five (7) + years of work experience in an IT role requiring interaction with senior
management, risk/security, and network infrastructure teams required.
• Minimum of five (7) + years of experience writing technical documentation in an infrastructure
environment required.
• Experience migrating from on premise to cloud-based platforms required.
• Proven success creating business-enabling technology roadmaps required.
• Previous experience working in a matrix management structure preferred.
