Marketing Communications Manager

Sansar’s Marketing Communications Manager will play a key role in helping to brand and grow our new product. They will be responsible for managing the day-to-day marketing and communication needs, aiding in the development and execution of branding and go-to market strategies. A successful candidate will be a thinker and a doer; s/he must be able to spot opportunities, propose strategies and concepts, and execute on them. This role requires a combination of day-to-day management and content creation, strategic planning, support, and execution.

What You'll Do

  • Support the development and execution of a public relations, brand strategy, and other marketing efforts across all external communications channels
  • Develop and maintain list of key media influencers, and build a plan around engaging with them.
  • Take ownership of and lead writing efforts for customer emails, website copy, ad copy, and other communications with users and external partners.
  • Support content creation for press releases and briefs, talking points, speeches, presentations and other communications material
  • Bring Sansar’s social media game to the next level; in combination with the Community Manager develop and implement social media content and programs that align with Sansar’s brand and external relations strategies. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in all key social media platforms and be active in exploring additional communities (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
  • Provide support for Sansar’s marketing and communications events: signage, promo materials, etc.
  • Serve as a point of contact with our PR agencies and track the impact of how PR efforts contribute to customer growth and brand lift.
  • Identify publications, forums, and events where Sansar should have a share of voice.
  • Develop and maintain list of key media influencers, and build a plan around engaging with them.

  • Adept at bringing forward big ideas, with a passion for executing on them - this is a role for a thinker/doer
  • Ability to manage several projects at once and deliver accurate results on deadline; ability to track multiple initiatives and opportunities is a must
  • Ability to think outside the box and provide unique communications solutions that raise Sansar’s profile
  • Proven ability to interact with senior-level executives and press; strong interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required and 2-4 years of experience in public relations, marketing, media or a related field.
  • Experience designing and launching successful public relations/social media and other community and growth oriented campaigns
  • Experience with and passion for branding initiatives
  • Marketing experience, defining and driving the go-to market strategy for new products, features, benefits and ideas toward market launch and rollout.
  • Demonstrated understanding of messaging strategy, user experience and persuasive marketing techniques in driving engagement with new or existing features or benefits.
  • Experience in crafting messaging for consumer product
  • Experience in working with and adapting messaging for key partners and customers
