Lincoln University has a student roll of around 3,000 and approximately 600 staff.  

We are currently looking for an experienced Function Supervisor to join our team on a fixed term basis till August. We have an extremely busy Catering and Events department with a strong forward workload, and we need your expertise. 

In this role you will be leading the front of house staff, for both day to day catering as well as inhouse and off-site events. You will need to ensure there is adequate staff resources with suitable skills in all front of house areas for set up, event execution and pack down, with the main focus being seamless service and an amazing customer experience. 

You will come from a strong hospitality background, with a proven track record in a supervisory position. Previous experience in in a multi-venue operation would be an advantage. You will be an inspiring leader, who can create and motivate a high-performing team who have the customer experience as their focus. You will be calm under pressure, quick to adapt to changes and be able to think on your feet when it comes to resolving problems. You will have a warm, friendly personality and excellent communication skills. A strong understanding of food and service requirements including food safety regulations  is required, as well as a strong focus on workplace health and safety.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required is essential. A current Duty Manager's licence would be beneficial.
