About You and This Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager of LATAM Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy with a partner first approach, and plan to generate demand and build brand awareness for Liferay, directly and with a strong collaboration with partners, across LATAM. Working closely with your local sales, channel, and customer success leaders as well as marketing peers across the globe, you will contribute to sales growth in your region while benefiting from an opportunity to advance your career in a high-growth, international, and open source company.
 
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of managing B2B demand generation programs, strong project management skills, and a natural inclination to measure ROI while managing the expectations of various stakeholders across the organization.
 
Key Objectives
 
  • Deploy successful marketing campaigns from ideation to execution
  • Own Latin America messaging at conferences and marketing initiatives aligned with Corporate Marketing
  • Drive creative lead generation activities to support sales pipeline, including events, customer and partner marketing tactics
  • Seek for new opportunities to generate demand through third party events
  • Oversee the execution of a wide variety of events whether digital, hybrid or in-person (breakfast seminars, annual customer Summits, webinars, VIP events, industry events, etc.)
  • Execute customer marketing initiatives focused on retention and expansion business, by working closely with the sales team on identifying customer target accounts, messaging and content.
  • Engage with partners, build relationships, foster campaign adoption and increase partner marketing productivity
  • Identify opportunities and drive partner marketing activities in order to help our partner ecosystem to generate demand.
  • Ensure events processes are being followed correctly to comply with data protection laws and build and maintain a solid marketing database
  • Track, measure and report on the performance of marketing programs. 
  • Gain insight and assess against goals to determine ROI and areas of improvement 
  • Oversee budgets, ensuring cost effectiveness and marketing spend ROI.
  • Collaborate with other Liferay marketing teams across the globe to exchange ideas and best practices
  • Coach, mentor, and oversee the responsibilities of direct reports
 
Required Qualifications
  • 5-7 years experience building effective marketing programs for high tech companies or similar
  • Degree in Marketing or Business, or comparable education/experience
  • Spanish native speakers or highly fluent in Spanish
  • Fully comfortable working in English, both written and spoken. Portuguese is desirable
  • Excellent communications and sales interaction skills are a must
  • Experience managing third-party agencies and suppliers
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Marketo, InEvent is a plus
  • Ability to work independently across marketing initiatives but also collaboratively with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Self-starter, quick learner, self-motivated, cost-conscious, proactive beyond your duty
  • Strives to be objective and reflects on their own biases when making decisions
  • Holds themselves accountable for decisions and outcomes within their team(s)/department
