How you will contribute to LifeNet Health’s success:  

The Research & Development Machinist efficiently utilizes CNC and conventional machines equipment for new product introductions. Creates computer aided programs for manufacturing tooling. Performs assembling and repairing of equipment/tooling. Utilizes precision instruments for set-up and verification to ensure accuracy of work performed which includes cross-checks to confirm accuracy of others work.  

   

What you’ll do:  

  • Fabrication and Execution: Write programs in the language of a machine's controller and store tested programs on LNH servers. Determine the sequence of machine operations, proper cutting tools, and tool speeds and cutting feeds machine workpieces into the desired shapes. Conduct computer simulations to ensure that programs will function properly and produce items that meet specifications. Accurately fabricate engineering prototype equipment and tooling equipment for R&D.
  • Modifications and Repairs: Perform modifications to existing power tooling per drawings. Repair equipment as assigned to meet specifications. Create helpdesk repair requests for CNC and other large fabrication equipment as needed.
  • Inspection and Accuracy: Use precision instruments for the set-up and verification of accuracy of work performed and cross-checks of others work. Maintain precision tooling, equipment, and machinery in proper working condition.

   

What you’ll bring (Minimum Requirements):  

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of machine shop/ job shop prototype machining and assembly environment experience
  • One (1) year of CNC programming and machining experience

   

Preferred Experience/Skills/Certifications:  

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university or completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship in machine tool technology, technical operations, or a related field.
  • Accredited CNC certificate
  • Four (4) years of machine shop/ job shop prototype machining and assembly environment experience
  • Three (3) years of CNC programming and machining experience
  • Previous experience with CAD/ SolidWorks

   

These would be nice too (Knowledge Skills and Abilities):  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Suite.
  • Technical Working Knowledge: CNC mill, CNC lathe, Saws, Grinders, Hand tools, Measuring & Gauging instruments.
  • Individual Development: Willingness to embrace and follow through on continuous learning to apply new knowledge.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate and build relationships with all professionals at different levels within the organization.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize multiple, competing priorities and manage time/workload.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to perform tasks thoroughly, checks work to ensure a high degree of accuracy, and on-time delivery.

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location and the candidate’s qualifications and prior relevant experience.  The pay range for this position is $21.96 hourly (entry- level qualifications) to $29.28 hourly (experienced in this role). *  

   

*Actual compensation may be higher based on the successful candidate's knowledge and relevant experience.  

   

This position is eligible for an annual bonus once eligibility criteria are met.
