Job Summary:

The primary function of this position is to provide support for the Manufacturing and Packaging teams to ensure operating training is effective and efficient. In addition, this role will ensure that all training is current and properly documented. Furthermore, this position will support production projects.

The training department is comprised of 3 trainers.

Key Accountabilities: 

• Support the Manufacturing and Packaging teams by ensuring training is conducted in a consistent, effective, and efficient way.
• Develop and assess SOPs, JSTs, and other applicable controlled documents to ensure an effective and consistent training system foundation.
• Establish relationship and communication between new employees, assigned trainers, and supervision to ensure that training is being conducted effectively and efficiently.
• Identify and assist in conducting cross functional training between processes to maintain and improve the growth of employee knowledge and the flexibility of production to maintain the schedule.
• Provide timely and effective training to support identified Corrective and Preventative Actions.
• Responsible to work cooperatively with other departments and shifts to complete assignments.
• Monitor training records to ensure cGMP compliance.
• Flexibility to support a 24/7 production environment.
 • Support production projects including projects such as inspections; 5S; CAPA’s; time studies.

Education:

Required - High School Diploma / GED
Preferred - Associate’s Degree or Certification in applicable training methodologies.

Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a cGMP production environment.

Specific Skills:

• Experience in conducting individualized and group training in a production environment.
• Strong technical writing, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to convey information to varying departments, shifts, and personalities.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional team.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand/walk within and throughout the plant throughout an 8 hour shift.
• Must be able to read and understand documented practices.
