JOB SUMMARY:

The Operations Shift Manager will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the Operations team. He/She will oversee, monitor and streamline the production processes and drive employee and equipment productivity to achieve optimum results. This role will also work collaboratively with QA, Maintenance, Safety, and Security in order to ensure efficiency of operations and provide direction on all critical situations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, implement and maintain an effective production strategy

• Train and manage personnel to key performance metrics to maximize departmental output

• Make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations

• Develop, coach and motivate personnel for succession planning

• Oversee production schedules and ensure daily manufacturing schedules are attained to satisfy customer expectations

• Initiate shift de-briefs to foster continuous and consistent communication among all 24/7 shifts

• Liaise and coordinate with support functions to progress issues concerning production planning and resource/skill allocation to ensure delivery of products to schedule within all relevant quality specifications

• Track and review incident investigations in order to stay in alignment with timely completion of product releases

• Interface with production scheduling to determine schedules for shift production

• Triage stakeholder

• Monitor compliance with all Safety procedures, state and Federal regulations and Regulatory agencies

• Prepare reports for training and tracking of key metrics, efficiencies, personnel, and equipment and labor utilizations

• Provide consistent communication and direction to all 24/7 Operations

Required Education:

High School Diploma/ GED

Preferred - Bachelor's Degree

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

• At least five years of relevant experience in the Pharmaceutical Operations environment

• Intermediate level of leadership experience required

• Solid problem solving abilities with the ability to coach and mentor others in this capacity

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects

• Hours may fluctuate based upon work priorities and demands of meetings and special events
