Key Responsibilities:

The general responsibility of this position will be to work with the Logistics Manager and the Warehouse Team Lead to ensure that inbound materials are received and stored, and manufacturing and packaging orders are processed in a timely and accurate manner.  This position also has responsibility for material handling equipment maintenance.

The position will be responsible for hiring, training, and scheduling employees in receiving and warehousing, and will provide timely feedback to employees regarding their performance.  This position will develop, monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators and will monitor safety issues to maintain a safe work environment. The position will also investigate transaction and procedural errors and modify policies and procedures as necessary to prevent reoccurrences.   The position will also manage special projects assigned by management.

    • Cycle counting and inventory discrepancy investigation
    • Equipment maintenance and management of the iWarehouse solution

    • Record keeping and reporting of KPIs
    • Report preparation
  • Personnel scheduling and supervision, including employee selection
  • Writing and reviewing SOPs and insuring department compliance with same.
  • Assistance with project management

Key Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience in day to day warehouse processes, and inventory transactions via a warehouse management system.  He or she should also have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The individual in this position will need to be detail oriented, accurate and flexible.

  • Knowledge of Warehouse operations and practices, inventory management and project management.

  • Provide oversight of all receiving and warehousing activities and identify and implement best practices to ensure safe and efficient operations.  These activities will require prioritization and multi-tasking to meet customer expectations and deadlines.

  • Provide problem solving and determination of the root cause of errors. This position will determine if corrective action is required and provide management for necessary changes. 

  • Review and upgrade SOPs and JSTs as needed to ensure employees are properly trained and following standard work practices.

    Training or Experience:.

  • Three to five years of related experience.

  • Must be familiar with cGMP’s, SOP’s and Training Modules.

  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 

Education:

  • Post-secondary education with a related B.S. degree preferred.
