We are looking for a high performing Senior Business Analyst to join our fast-growing global digital agency. You will be a fully engaged partner to the success of a project. The Senior Business Analyst leads the requirements gathering process and works as a liaison among a project’s stakeholders in order to understand the business issues and challenges of a client’s organization, and to recommend solutions that enable clients to achieve their goals. The Senior Business Analyst works closely with digital strategists, producers, designers, and technology teams to understand, analyze, and document requirements and deliver functional specifications for project delivery. As a Senior Business Analyst on our team, you will also interface with client executives and business users representing our brand name in the digital technology industry.

What you do:

  • Lead the requirements gathering process
  • Quickly understand the business issues and data challenges of a client’s organization and industry
  • Translate the "what" from the requirements into the "how" for specifications
  • Translate business needs to system solutions
  • Recommend new features or improvements to features to the client based on industry-related expertise, experience, analytics data and best practices
  • Ensure business, functional, and technical requirements are captured, organized, approved by the client, and followed throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Lead business and technical analysis sessions to support new web and mobile application development efforts to meet current and projected business needs
  • Own the development of a prioritized feature backlog and support prioritization of features, user stories, and tasks
  • Dynamically facilitate internal and client working sessions, including stakeholder interviews
  • Identify functional gaps and provide solutions
  • Author user stories and define acceptance criteria
  • Create design specifications, user scenarios, and process flow diagrams
  • Provide analysis and support for the client, strategy, design, user experience, quality assurance, and development teams from project concept to completion
  • Collaborate with project team to ensure a standard level of requirement understanding
  • Work as a liason between the client and offsite team members by going beyond the typical BA work
  • Support client services with initial phase of discovery and refining of client requests
  • Support the Production and Client Services team with Scope of Work definition, project kick off and planning
  • Support Production team to garner specs and details from client vendors to support comprehensive solution definition
  • Author training material and support/lead training for ongoing management of products

 What you need:  

  • Bachelors degree in a technical related field or higher
  • 5-7 years of experience working in an interactive agency, online software development environment, or systems integration consulting firm
  • At least 3 years of experience documenting requirements and specifications for a variety of software applications including websites, intranets, and/or mobile experiences
  • A curious thinker who is passionate about solving problems, executing on ideas, and delivering tangible solutions
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and analytical skills to recommend creative solutions to business and technical challenges
  • Superior written and oral communications skills – we’re very serious about this one
  • Ability to immerse oneself in an industry or market, and quickly add value to a project
  • Multi-disciplined individual with familiarity in a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures related to modern web development, content management systems, mobile application development, user experience, and responsive design
  • Experience in a client services role, working with and delivering to external clients with outmost professionalism
  • Motivated self-starter who is able to strategically define what BA deliverables would best support a project
  • Must be extremely organized, have a high attention to detail, and capable of self-managing and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience and demonstrated skill organizing and articulating complex technology concepts
  • Experience with Agile development cycles and working with design teams
  • Technically curious and not afraid to jump in and learn new technologies
