We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Insight Analyst to become part of our wonderful Customer Insight Team. This newly created team are responsible for understanding Joules’ customer’s behaviours using various sources of data and analytical techniques to inform our customer first strategies.

Purpose of the role:

Reporting to the Customer Insight Manager, the Insight Analyst’s key responsibilities will include:

  • Use customer insights from multiple sources to drive decision making in different areas of the business such as marketing, promotions, ecommerce, merchandising and supply chain
  • Work with customer marketing to create action-based customer journeys using campaign management tooling for program specific initiatives
  • Generate customer focused insights and recommendations by analysing and manipulating data from large data sets and various qualitative sources. You will help implement your recommendations to improve customer performance and targeting and review the results to further refine them
  • Create and maintain performance and reporting dashboards for the business on both a regular and ad-hoc basis, and work with IT to automate where appropriate
  • Work closely with Finance to understand how customer trends are impacting overall business targets

What we are looking for:-

  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages/tools for analysing datasets (SQL, R, SAS, PowerBI, etc…)
  • Ability to present insight and recommendations from your analysis
  • Confident communicator with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insight
  • Flexible, able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
  • Understanding how a customer database works and basic concept of analysis and segmentation
  • Good problem solver, always looking for ways to answer questions better and to do things better
