Jefferson Consulting Group, a well-respected, woman-owned small business, seeks a highly qualified individual to serve as a Manager. Jefferson provides strategic and operational services to federal agencies in program management, acquisition, human capital and training. The Manager will be supporting multiple projects across those domains. The preponderance of work will be at the firm’s downtown DC office, although limited time at client DC metro sites and occasional domestic and international travel may be required. 

 Responsibilities include:

  • Assist project managers in leading client engagements.
  • Research, compile and analyze data for trends.
  • Coordinate meetings, conference calls and track project activities.
  • Create, maintain and adhere to project plans and schedules.
  • Develop high quality templates, frameworks and reports.
  • Draft deliverables based on efforts. Examples of deliverables include performance work statements defining government needs, strategic plans, organizational assessment reports, business process improvement studies, and summaries and analysis of topics of interest.
  • Correspond and effectively and professionally communicate with government officials.
  • Facilitate meetings, including working with stakeholders to develop agendas.
  • Track new opportunities through websites such as FBO.gov and GSA’s eBuy.
  • Support proposal writing and submission.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience showing advancement
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational, communication, writing and analytical skills to effectively interact with government clients and industry partners.
  • Attention to detail, high standards of excellence, ability to multi-task, and commitment to perform and execute all project activities successfully.

 Preferred Experience/Abilities:

  • Experience with the federal acquisition process (developing requirements for federal agencies, supporting new business efforts through regular searches of FBO.gov and eBuy, and/or proposal writing).
  • Training in project management, federal acquisition and/or business development/proposal writing.
