CDL DRIVER - SHIPPING

SUMMARY: Yard Spotter – CDL driver, is responsible for providing and removing trailers from the shipping dock and insure trailers are maintained at the correct temperature while sitting on the lot.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following as well as other duties may be assigned. Move trailers from the dock doors to storage yard, move warehouse and icepack trailers as needed.
Must maintain a safe working environment.
Inspect trailers and document conditions.
Work closely with incoming drivers and direct them to the proper door for loading and unloading.
Must maintain ALL trailers under lock and key while setting on the lot.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on yard truck/tractor each day and report any issues.
Keep trailers backed in and pulled from the docks as needed.
Must be willing to work other shifts if needed.
Must be able to operate a manual CMV.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Class A CDL License
Minimum 6 months of verifiable tractor/trailer experience.
